Meet Eloise, Founder / Designer, The Pantry Bridalwear & Underwear
Eloise founded The Pantry Bridalwear in 2019 just 3 years after its sister brand, The Pantry Underwear, which was her first venture as a business owner and opened its doors in 2016. After spending most of her early career in sales and marketing for brands including The Ministry of Sound and Harper Collins Publishers, she realised a life-long ambition to run her own business, disrupting relatively stagnant fashion sectors with an original approach.
Eloise’s passion centres around creating spaces and products that uplift women so that they feel confident from their very foundations. Obtaining bras and wedding dresses are arguably two of the most exposing shopping experiences out there and Eloise’s ultimate business and brand goal is to transform the associated dread of these tasks. Her considered and highly original approach to buying, space planning and service delivery across both the bridal and underwear industries ensure repeated recognition from her customers ( check out the reviews for both brands ) and the fashion sector in general. In Q4 2022 The Pantry Underwear & Bridalwear opened a new dual concept and larger regional store in Cambridge city centre and the underwear brand has been shortlisted for a Drapers Award and 3x Boutique Magazine Awards.
Meet Rita, Founder / Designer, Rita Colson
Rita believes that great design makes everything better.
She's fascinated by explorations of style, and looking at ways in which rules can be bent to create new, surprising designs that respect tradition but aren’t afraid to question it. Rita's background is in high fashion, and with a decade’s experience in commercial design, she turned to the world of bridal design wanting to create versatile capsule collections and bespoke pieces that could have a life of their own after ‘I do’.
Rita's work is light, fluid and contemporary. She's found that inspiration can strike when least expected, so it’s just as likely that her design for bridal attire was initially sparked by the curve of a vase in a ceramics exhibit or the crescendo of a favourite piece of music as it was by the looks rocking the catwalk!
Working from a West London studio, Rita pours her creative soul into her collections.
Meet Pippa, Founder / Creative Director,
Founder and creative director of BON BRIDÉ is ex-fashion buyer and product developer, Pippa Cooke. Having spent over ten years immersed in the industry, buying for retail giant Topshop, cult label House of Hackney and Luxury department store Harrods, Pippa felt the time was right to adopt her fashion-forward aesthetic and disrupt the bridal industry.
With BON BRIDÉ, Pippa creates understated yet striking dresses about women and for women who dress for themselves. With feminist principles at its core, BON BRIDÉ does things differently, breaking from the norms of the modern wedding.
"I want to offer alternative options and for each collection to evolve with a new generation of modern women. It is not “timeless” and it doesn’t claim to create “classic” pieces. It’s of the moment and it celebrates the women of this moment in time, the bride of now.” - Pippa
